LONG LEAF New Stallion for 2020 – Fee Announced
Rangeview Stud are pleased to introduce for stud duties in 2020 the most precocious son of Fastnet Rock in LONG LEAF.
LONG LEAF won his first 3 starts as a 2yo, including the Listed Merson Cooper Stakes and the Blue Diamond Preview before competing at the highest level for 2yo’s in Australia in the Golden Slipper and ATC Sires where he finished 6th and 4th respectively. He was the 2nd colt past the post in both elite feature races.
At 3, connections kept the bar at the highest level setting Long Leaf for the Coolmore Stud Stakes and Australian Guineas. After running several good races and picking up further black type in group 2 and 3 lead up races, he gave very credible performances in both Group 1′s before then winning the 1600m Karaka Mile in NZ.
LONG LEAF career earnings totalled $940 790 from 4 wins at 1000m to 1600m.
By super Sire Fastnet Rock, himself a former Australian Champion Sire, LONG LEAF also has the pedigree to complement through his granddam Parfore, who has produced 4 individual $1m earners including G1 winners Terravista, Tiger Tees and G2 winner Ball Of Muscle.
